Character Information
Character Name: Zorua
Canon: Pokemon: Zoroark: Master of Illusions
Canon Point: Post-movie.
History: Here!
Personality:
Zorua is a young trickster Pokemon, using his Illusion ability to assume the form of other people and Pokemon. He uses this ability for fun as well as using it to fool his enemies. Such as when he escaped from the plane he and his mother was brought on, he changes into the form of a Scizor to surprise an enemy Scizor and get away. He also uses this ability to change into Celebi, to trick Grings Kodai into pursuing him instead of the real Celebi. Even though Zorua's young and inexperienced, he can still cleverly use these illusions to his advantage whenever it's necessary. But he's also a bit of a prankster and a playful Pokemon too, using those same illusions to take on the forms of those he considers friends. He turns into Dawn twice, despite her loud protests not to and then laughs when she gets angry at him for it.
Zorua also tends to be quick on his feet, moving fast regardless of what obstacles are in his way. This also makes him an impatient Pokemon, as he tends to take off even when his companions are in the middle of a conversation or investigating other things. He usually stays out of business that doesn't concern him, only focusing on whatever task that has his attention. For example, when Ash and his friends were discussing the destruction occurring in Crown City and Kodai's involvement in it, Zorua mostly ignores them and ends up running off as soon as he thinks he finds his mother's scent. This leads to Ash chasing after Zorua a lot of the time.
Speaking of his mother, Zorua is extremely attached to her. He spends his entire time in Crown City searching for her after he escapes from the plane, determined to save her from the people that caught them. He doesn't take much interest in the danger that Crown City is in, and while he expresses anger at Kodai for what he did to them, he seems more interested in finding his mother and going home instead of taking action against him. He expresses loneliness after being separated from her for a while, getting distressed when he can't find her right away. At one point, he gets lonely enough that Celebi uses some of its power to comfort Zorua by wrapping him in vines and leaves. The action reminds Zorua of being buried in his mother's fur, which helps him fall asleep.
While his mother is his main priority, Zorua is fiercely loyal and protective to his friends too. Such as when Celebi is attacked by Kodai, Zorua uses his illusions to try and protect it. And despite being hurt and outnumbered, it doesn't stop Zorua from getting up and attacking Kodai after hearing Celebi's cries of pain from Kodai strangling it. Zorua even gets upset and sulks when he fails to protect Celebi from harm, and temporarily postpones his search for his mother to help Celebi return to its own time.
As loyal and determined as Zorua is, he's also very reckless and overconfident. When he runs ahead of the group, he doesn't stop to think if there's danger waiting for him. And when there is danger, he doesn't back down or show fear. Not even if he's outmatched or his opponent is far more powerful. When his mother is faced with three very large, legendary Pokemon, he attempts to join her in trying to fight them before she pulls him away. When he's confronted with a large, angry mob of Pokemon, he growls and demands that they get out of his way. This pushy behavior often gets him in more trouble than it helps him, though he never seems to realize it. He'll loudly proclaim his own strength, such as when he's rescued early on from being outnumbered in a fight by Ash and his companions. Instead of saying thanks, he just tells them he didn't need their help.
All in all, Zorua is a brave, clever, and fiercely determined Pokemon. But at the same time, he's also very much a child who longs to be his with mother, who he loves and idolizes a lot. A child who's eager to make friends, who's a bit of a prankster, and one who will do anything to save both his mother and his friends.

Abilities, Strengths and Weaknesses:
+ Illusion ability: Zorua can make himself appear to look like other people or Pokemon. Since he hasn't mastered this ability, any person he turns into will also have a tail, which if grabbed will cause the illusion to disappear.
+ Telepathy: If Zorua wants to talk to someone, his voice will appear in their head. It's his only way of being able to communicate with other people.
+ Determination: Zorua is determined to a point of being stubborn when he wants to accomplish something. Even when he's badly hurt, he'll still try to get up and keep going. This is especially true when he finds his mother, where he crawls towards her even after being electrocuted.
+ Loyalty: He's extremely loyal to his mother and his friends, even willing to risk his life and well-being to help them. He even endangers himself in order to help Celebi, getting beat up pretty badly for the effort.
+ Scratch: A basic Pokemon move that can do quite a bit of damage. Zorua uses this move to break a television in Crown City.
- Recklessness: Zorua often rushes off without thinking about potential danger, and doesn't back down from fights when he's clearly outmatched.
- Overconfidence: Zorua usually ends up taking on too much during fights, thinking that he can handle it. This leads to him getting in trouble with bigger, stronger opponents.
- Not very strong: Though Zorua likes to think otherwise, he's still a very young and small Pokemon. He can be taken down pretty easily in a fight.

Two hours had passed, and there was still no sign of Meema.
Zorua had tried to do the first thing his mother told him to do when he was lost, which was stay put and wait for her. Something that was always hard for him to do, since sitting still felt more like a punishment. That plan didn't last very long before he abandoned his spot and began to wander through a burnt up forest. He wasn't too sure how he got there, or if he and his mother were captured again. But whatever was going on, his only concern was finding his mother first and getting out of this gloomy forest.
But no matter how much he tries, he just can't seem to pick up her scent. Fear washes over him as he wonders what could've happened to her. Last time they were captured, she was right alongside him when he woke up. But when he opened his eyes in this awful, dark place, he was all alone and it didn't seem like there were any signs of her around. Maybe she wasn't here at all...
No, Meema's gotta be here somewhere! She wouldn't leave me, I know she wouldn't! So I just gotta keep looking and I'm sure I'll find her!
It's all he can do to reassure himself, to keep him from wanting to curl up into a trembling ball of fear. He found her once when he was lost, and he's worked way too hard to reunite with her only to be taken away again. Whatever it takes, he'll keep searching for her. He just has to figure out what he's doing in this strange place, and find out who brought them here. And once he finds that out, finding his mother should be easy enough.
Still, just in case she's nearby, he stops and lets out a long, loud howl. If his mother was anywhere close by, she'd be able to hear it for sure. And for anyone passing by who didn't expect to hear a small fox-like animal howling loudly? Well, hopefully he isn't attracting any dangerous wildlife.
